My first legitimate attempt at 3d!
Remember this guy? The drawing is an old character design for a job that didn't work out, and I decided to interpret the character in Zbrush. I got a friend to teach me Zbrush about a week ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since. I actually like it! I wanted to try sculpting something that would help me get a handle on some of the absolute basics, and still look as if I'd drawn it/designed it. It was a lot of fun! I still don't know what I'm doing, but I figure I'll keep practicing. I'm not sure if this is any good, really...it's pretty basic, but I don't see much cartoon-stylized 3d coming out of Zbrush. I guess it's kind of best at doing wrinkly stuff. And at this stage in the game, looking towards getting a job in the games industry means having some idea of what it is to work in 3d. Which I didn't. Until now. Hopefully this will amuse someone as much as it does me. It's neat...like making a toy of your own work.
