Artist's Comments
This week's assignment for "Monster" class. The prompt was transformation and this week I decided that apples that smoke tiny pipes were a cute enough idea to spend a couple hours of the early morning coloring. The 'fruits' of my labor (har-har) are above!
I just wanted to do something cheery and pleasant. I haven't in a little bit, and I've been feeling up to a little sugar-sweetness this week  I think it makes a rather alarming and amusing contrast with my last piece. I'm pretty glad with the way this came out...I had some specific ideas of what the mood would be, that more or less seem to have translated into the final piece.I had some more elaborate plans for the setting and story, but those will have to wait. I've promised myself that one day I will do a story that takes place at a road-side fruit stand. Cuz those things ROCK. Enjoy! More chat and some exciting news on my blog: [link] |
