I've been wanting to post this for a good long while now, and...well, here it is! These are the the first five pages of what's evolved into 'Alfonse and Domingo' (first story entitled "Market Day' that I've been hinting at for a while now
This is an original project I've been developing all semester. I have really gotten excited about the characters and the world. There's more Alfonse and Domingo skittering around the recesses of my imagination...plenty more, and I hope that this is the start of something a little more long-term Anyways, I've been having a good time
I REALLY hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed working it up!
A combo of work done in Nick Bertozzi's comic class (lineart) and Mary Jane's Color Works class (color...). The characters, settings, and everything in the comic are my original creations. No stealing.
----
EDIT: I went back in and messed with some of the little color things that were driving me CRAZY. And, of course, a format change because the horizontal format is SUCH A PAIN online Hopefully this makes everyone happier...it did me Thanks for all the comments!
You can read pages 6-10 in black and white here: [link]
This is so cool, I love the steampunk-without-post-apocalyptic feel to it, and all the unusual creatures, as well as the clothing. You've seamlessly introduced us to their world, without making it too alien. I'm very pleased, and would like to see more. n_n

its a beautiful piece and a lovely introduction to both the character and the world - well done you!
One minor query - what are the ages of the characters? I was trying to figure out if they were husband and wife or mother and son and it wasn't obvious - is that naturally ambiguous at this stage?
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
